# Lesson 4 不可数名词

不可数名词是指不能以数目来计算、不可以分成个体的物质。我们无法用具体数字来表达它的量，它也没有单数和复数之分，只有一种形式。

### 1 常见不可数名词

#### 1.1 金木水火土

- metal 金
- wood 木
- water 水
- fire 火
- dirt 土

#### 1.2 米面肉钱布
- rice 米
- flour 面粉
- meat 肉
- money 钱
- cloth 布

> **特别注意**
> meat 肉，包括 pork 猪肉，beef 牛肉等，它们也都是不可数名词。

#### 1.3 物质和概念
- 物质（材料）：metal 金属，glass 玻璃等
- 概念（一类事物）：furniture 家具等

#### 1.4 抽象不可数
抽象名词一般是不可数名词，例如 joy 开心，sadness 难过，happiness 幸福，love 爱。

> **特别注意1：不可数名词还可以根据物体状态来区分**
> - liquids 液体：water, milk, oil...
> - gases 气体：oxygen...
> - powders 粉末：dirt, soil, sugar...
> - 抽象概念：love, time...

> **特别注意2：高频考点（易错词）**
> 有些名词在不同语境下有不同的含义，可以作可数名词，也可以作不可数名词，考试中需分清。

虽然 exercise 作为锻炼总称时不可数，但表示"体操"时是可数的，例如 morning exercises 早操。

### 2 不可数名词"量"的表达

不可数名词前不能加不定冠词 a/an，也不能加数词，我们不能说 one water。那么我们如何表达不可数名词的量呢？

#### 2.1 much + 不可数名词，表示"很多……"
- much water 很多水
- much time 很多时间

#### 2.2 a lot of / lots of + 不可数名词，表示"许多……"
- a lot of work = lots of work 许多工作
- a lot of fun = lots of fun 许多乐趣

#### 2.3 some + 不可数名词，表示"一些……"
- some money 一些钱
- some time 一些时间

#### 2.4 little + 不可数名词，表示"很少……"
- little milk 少量的牛奶
- little happiness 小小的幸福

> **特别注意**
> some、a lot of、lots of 这些词或短语既可以与可数名词复数连用，也可以与不可数名词连用。

#### 2.5 a + 容器 + of + 不可数名词
- a bottle of water 一瓶水
- a glass of juice 一杯果汁

- cup 杯
- bowl 碗
- case 盒，箱
- basket 篮子
- box 盒子

请注意，这些常见的容器一般是可数名词，所以如果要表达复数概念，需要把容器变为复数形式，比如 three glasses of juice 三杯果汁，two cups of tea 两杯茶。
